FIRST HS GIRL OVER 6 METERS!!!

Unread postby lonestar » Thu Mar 11, 2010 8:49 am

I really thought Isinbayeva had come the closest of any woman to clearing 6 meters in the pole vault, but it turns out, a high school girl from Texas beat her to it!

...and THAT is why the State Record can ONLY be set in the STATE MEET in Texas!

And a 5.41m HJ!!! This meet must have been on the moon. Pretty solid results.

And I thought that the 66 foot triple jump was amazing, but this jump by a JV athlete tops it! :dazed:

Haha thanks for pointing that out. We have a results validator that normally keeps marks like that from showing up, but that one must have slipped through the cracks.

Heck, at 9'10" in her second meet ever, I thought my daughter was doing pretty well for a new vaulter, but she might as well get out of the sport now... :dazed:

Thanks for sharing that! :D
