The classic "can we move the pit it's a headwind". and how about "I usually jump better when I'm not tired" or "I really jumped great the other day I wish I had a video to proove it". These seem to be common in the south (florida) at meets! Or my favorite "it is really hot today" remember this is Flrida!

And I heard this one at a high school meet yesterday - "Their poles are different from ours. Look how they BEND!"
