Beach Vaulting

Unread postby ZachmanPV » Mon Jun 10, 2013 12:13 pm

So I will be jumping at the Clearwater Beach Vault down in Florida in mid-July and I was just wondering does anybody have any tips on just general things that are different from regular street vaults? (keeping sand out of shoes, do this, dont do this, etc.) This is my first beach vault so any tips would be appreciated!

Walking around on the soft sand will tire your legs out quickly, and being in the sun all day will as well. Have fun at the event, but before you vault, try to stay out of the sun and off your legs. I would often sit on the back of the runway and dump the sand out of my shoes before jumping.
