Pit A still seems to be running slow. Lots of crowd shots and such in between jumps, and they are showing every jump

Sketchy!

Burgess bails and nearly lands in the box. He grimaces.

The pole vault is running WAY later than the rest of the track meet, and it is late at night there (almost midnight!), so I am inclined to think they will be more generous

They must have amateurs putting the crossbars up on Pit A.

Hooker is lacing up his sneakers. I wonder if they told Pit B that they would all go to finals?

Mazuryk misses and is out

Is it just me or does Burgess look like a younger version of the fat guy on the The Office?

Mazryk continues the trend of coming up short.

It's those automatic standards where they are electronically raised and lowered. I think the holdups have been from the pole holder.
