Pole Vault Summit Reviews

Unread postby sduvinage » Mon Sep 28, 2009 4:16 pm

I live in San Diego and I was wondering if it is worth it to go to reno for the pole vault summit.
Is it worth spending about $400?
Tell me about your experience as well.
Any info would be appreciated.

Do you love pole vaulting? Do you love hanging out with other pole vaulters?

If the answer to those questions is YES, then the answer to your questions is YES! :)

It does not get any better then the Summit. I have spent $4000.00 the last two years going. The people, pro vaulters and a vaulter can pick up alot of information at the clinics and coaching. My son picked up a tip from a pro coach there and it helped break a bad habit. The Summit is something all vaulters have to experience at least once. Does not matter if you vault 6 feet or 19 it is a great time.

I agree! The first time I went to Reno, I was an 8' high school vaulter. I had just as much fun then as I do now. Maybe more because I had less responsibility then! ;)

The hotel is a good distance from the Arena, you can't walk it, but there are shuttles all the time. You do not need to rent a car.

The clinics last most of the day Friday, then you get to watch the elite competition Friday night. Saturday is competitions for everyone else all day :)

If you're going, then I am too. Can't afford to let you get a leg up on me.
