I've noticed when looking for spikes that the price for these spikes have often be reduced heavily. Is that because these shoes are defective or unpopular?
If anyone's jumped in them, I'd appreciate a product review.

I am sure the price drop is just because sellers are getting ready to sell the newest models that will be released in the fall. Buying older model spikes is always a good money saver.

Unoffical word from Nike is they wont be designing a new PJ shoe until before the Summer Olympics in 2012. I hope this is wrong information, but this is the rumor I heard.

My daughter jumped almost exclusively in the Nike TJ this past season and loved them. She preferred them over her Adidas TJ. The only reason she changed is that Nike gave her a pair of PV2s in Eugene a few weeks ago...
