Re: fall pole vault in MD
There's a guy in the Baltimore MD area. Do a search for postings from "marbaugh". I am in the Towson/Baltimore area and I am the volunteer vault coach at Towson University, http://www.facebook.com/TowsonVaulting. My wife and I both vaulted at college at the University of Delaware and have ...

Re: Looking for camps
Oh yea, I forgot about the Jan Johnson camp @ Kutztown Univ. in PA. I think there is/was a camp in Reading, PA - Fiberbenders or something like that. I just received via email a brochure from Monmouth University in NJ for several summer PV camps. They don't look like they are providing housing, but ...

Re: Looking for camps
Mike Pascuzzo has been running "On the road" 2-day track camps in Southern NJ for all events (and multi-event) for many years. This would be the closest one to DE. WIth a commute or stay-over option. He usually has a good crop of PV coaches as well. http://www.verticaladventures.org/index....

Spirit 13-125 Fort Plain, NY
Found on Craigslist, may still be available. Near Utica, NY. Asking $400. Don't PM me about the pole, it's not mine and I don't know anything about it, just sharing it as many of us are looking for poles.

Re: Lots of things wrong with my vault
It's good that you recognize that there is a lot of things going wrong. I see several. I'm going to point them out and give you my suggestions, and hopefully, so videos that help you see how it's done correctly. 1. Run - 4 lefts is good for you to practice with at this point, 3 lefts is good too. Wh...

Re: Tall female vaulter and the swing
In this video, she is about 1 shoe length in/under, and she throws her head back. I also noticed she drops her right knee, doesn't whip the left leg, then draws both legs in rather than driving the right knee and staying long during the swing with a vigorous whip/kick of her left leg. She needs some...

Re: Need some help vaulting, thanks!
First of all, you are off to a great start! At your age and only 3-weeks in, you have accomplished what most first and some second year vaulters dream of clearing. Awesome! You could be one of those that has great athletic ability and take to the vault quickly. I also like your drive and determinati...

Re: Differences in Pole Brands?
Weight label and placement only matter to High School -- old farts like us can hold anywhere that allows us to get safely into the pit. Uh, yea.....but that wasn't my question. Let me ask it a different way. On a Spirit Pole, given that the weight band (and max grip) is a good 6" from the top ...
