Are you guys saying that a completley straight arm at take off is not blocking? I know his left arm is collapsed when the pole hits the box, but should it be straight at take off?

One of the reason to why your hips are coming forward is because you are blocking. The hips need to drive forward at take off, along with the chest. Dont block, and stay tall at take off
