I think for D1 it depends on the day of your last meet.....I asked my coach when we can start going 5 days a week and he said that they have to count back to the last competition...can anyone explain this???

in section 17, it says that you guys are allowed to start on september 7 or ur first day of classes. it must be some crazy conference rule then.

There are many things that determine start date and limit the hours and number of practices. The type of training - organized or individual. Numer of students in each session. Conditioning/strength vs technique/vaulting.

Some schools start later so they can stop nearer to Christmas Holiday, or just before finals. Others limit the days during the week, stretching the time out.

If there is an end of training meet (November/December). Number of competitions (18 for the year).

They need a quantitative analysis major just to figure this stuff out.
