For whoever's interested, here's a more pole-vaulter friendly angle of the jump that someone recorded and put together for me, including the outlandish and over-the-top celebration haha. What can I say, emotions ran high.

To make 5.50 on your 42nd try has got to be some kind of a weird record! You deserve it!

I wonder how many attempts it took other jumpers to clear that milestone?

I wonder how many cleared it on their FIRST attempt? :confused:

I recall that Brad Gebauer had a double PR at the 2006 indoor big ten champs, jumping 5.40m and 5.50m both on first attempts. I think his PR before the meet was around 5.30m. It wouldn't surprise me if he made 5.50m on his first attempt ever! I wish someone could confirm this one.
