It was an awesome meet. I was one of the officials. Get this, the officiating crew was made up entirely of vault coaches from around the state. We had Tom Williams, Me, Mark Heard, and Gary Boxley. Between us we have probably seen a million jumps and worked a thousand meets. We also had an army of helpers from the ROTC. The meet went off without a hitch. I'm glad Tom was running the borad. I still, after all these years, have no idea how five alive really works. :dazed:

Alicia looked like she could go 14’6” or better. She is definitely ready for nationals.

Katie was solid and got better as the competition went on. Her best jump was her 11th of the competition. Awesome conditioning.

Natalie also looked really dangerous. She had some huge clearances.

Leslie wouldn’t take no for an answer. She struggled along and then smoked 13’5” on her first jump. Joe Dial said, “She went from the outhouse to the penthouse in one jump.” The quote of the meet. :D

Brooke was also determined and showed a lot of maturity to put together a solid jump on her last attempt at 13’5”.

Congrats to everybody who made it to Nationals.
