This competition is crucial to Lindenwood's hopes of defending their national title. After a rough first day in which none of their relay teams qulified to the finals, Lindenwood is counting on big points from the field events. With 6 Lindenwood athletes in the pole vault, it could be a difference maker in the team competition.

Competition is getting underway. Looks like Jason Scott is passing the opening height, Caleb Dodson from Cumberland is on the runway at 4.60

He gets rejected and nearly takes out the official when his pole pops out of the box.

Graham Danziger of Lindenwood puts a lot of height over the bar, but is a little sloppy on top and brushes it off.

Lindenwood freshman Ryan Hays does not turn up his jump and misses his first attempt.
