King's High School won state championships in the girls 800- and 400-meter relays last year, and the school from north Seattle is off to a blistering pace in the events again this year.

King's, a Class 2A school, set a state best in the 800 relay this season and also won the 400 relay at the 18th annual Larry Eason Invitational Saturday in Snohomish. The meet drew more than 1,000 high-school track and field athletes representing 74 teams.

The Knights' Chira Louie, Kimberly Mayhle, Sarah Smart and Tatiana Noel won the 800 relay in 1 minute, 44.06 seconds â€â€
