Pole Run

Just curious, but how do you begin your pole runs?
I.e. a hop step, gallop, normal run, etc.
I never met a pole I didn't like.

Exactly as you begin your real approach.

Seems like a silly thing to say, but a pole run is to practice the running form and pole carrying actions in the vault. So i agree with the above, you want your pole run to be as close to your real vault run as possible. However, pole runs are apart of training, so you want to strive for perfect running position while doing them, so when you translate back onto the runway the better you are running, the more energy you can put into the pole.

Hopes that helps....
