Difference between blowing through a pole and lots of bend

Unread postby pscranton » Mon Feb 23, 2009 9:23 pm

I recently started jumping on a new pole (13'3" Altius 145, holding 13' & I run a 4.9 40 yard) and the pole bends alot but it is upwards not to the back of the pit as I was experiencing with my (12' 150 Spirit). I land very shallow in the pit, could I just be rushing the jump? I will try to get video soon, Thanks for the help.

Drop your grip a first or two or three and the pole will be less mushy and you will land deeper (safer) and time up your swing with the pole better.
