I'm surprised this hasn't caused more of a stir nationwide...but I'm trying to get the word out. A complete story is now up on the front page of Trackshark.com (as of Thursday, January 30):

Yes, this is pretty sad... :( It's not like was a questionable meet someone had in their backyard with no officials!
That's Jodie!!

A scripture that makes me think of all you girls and guys pole vaulting....

Habakkuk 3:19
The Sovereign LORD is my strength;
he makes my feet like the feet of a deer,
he enables me to go on the heights.

From vaultngus's wondeful newsletter (hope you don't mind Gus)...

Hey folks I was just going over the official NCAA DI lists found at

http://members.aol.com/rpodkam/d1wind03.txt
http://members.aol.com/rpodkam/d1mind03.txt

Guess what? Looks like the NCAA IS allowing Reno Summit marks to be
used as qualifiers.

  1  Niki McEwen             SR Oregon     4.30m 1-18
  5  Amy Linnen              JR Arizona    4.20m 1-18
16  Kirsten Riley           JR Oregon     3.90m 1-18
17  Gail Larsen             JR UCLA       3.90m 1-18
18  Jamie Kolar             SO UCLA       3.90m 1-18

1  Paul Litchfield         JR Idaho St.  5.50m 1-18
  7  Jeremy Hull             SR Kansas     5.30m 1-18

I believe that's all the affected parties - there were several others
that had marks from Reno "disallowed' but have since posted a better
mark.

If this is the case then congratulations to both parties for coming to
the only reasonable solution to a stupid problem...

Well that is almost everyone... except Brad Walker and Kate Soma from UW. What's up with that?
