here'e how I'd do the online registration....
allow individual and group registration, so a group of folks can register together and sit together. Groups will be differentiated by group name, city, and state. The individual registration will allow the person to add themselves to a already registered group(for seating purposes), or to search the list of registered names and sit with an individual, so individuals can register seperately and still sit together.
I like dafox's idea that underage kids will need to print out and present a signed permission slip when they check in upon arrival.
Would you use online registration for the summit?

I like this idea, but it has some downsides:
Say you're the first person to sign up for your group. Do you have the ability to add a group first? This is the wide open internet...there is some serious room for abuse there without constant moderation.
If I can select individual names, I'm sittin next to Becca! No wait, I'll sit next to Jan! Or I could pick the name of the girl I met there last year, even though she gave me a fake phone number, and her friends said she wasn't interested...but I think she'll be happy if I sit next to her first thing Friday night

Of the two, I like the group idea the best, but it'd have to be constantly moderated so people dont input naughty group names.

...and you know some will forget it, so it would be allowed to be faxed. Thats the only saving grace they would have. agreed?

Habakkuk 3:19
The Sovereign LORD is my strength;
