ok, so i'm suppost to be looking to buy a car in may......this isn't an uplifting topic...any alternative ideas, i'll be living in San Luis Obispo next year...it's not exactly a walking city or really a bus city i don't think...so you kinda have to have a car....but with gas prices.....what to do...what to doo....

There may still be a government rebate also.
A coworker bought a Honda Civic Hybrid about 9 months ago and with the rebates it was actually $400 cheaper than the regular gas Civic! Gets around 50MPG.
