I JUST SCORE TWO EXCELLENT THEMO-FLEX RED POLES VIA SOULEMAN!!! ANY HISTORIANS OUT THERE? THE COPYRIGHT DATE IS 1967......ONE IS A 15 FOOT MODEL A SPECIAL SERIAL NUMBER 6 398,
THE OTHER IS A MODEL B SERIAL NUMBER 7 238 15 FOOTER.... -BOTH HAVE THE ORIGINAL STICKERS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION FOR BEING
40(?) YEARS OLD.....THEY LOOK LIKE THEY WERE NEVER USED...THELABELS INDICATE ON ONE IF YOU WEIGH 208 THEN GRIP AT 12 FEET, 205,12-2. 202, 12-2, 200,12-3 AND SO FORTH UP TO 14-11 INCHES.....SO THEY ARE INDICATING THEN ABOUT 2 LBS PER INCH....ANY EXPERTS????

My first fiberglass pole was a Thermo-flex, and I still have the little Thermo-flex booklet. It has instructions on learning to vault and a Dial-A-Pole which tells how high you can hold depending on your weight. They only had about 3 or 4 weights of poles and were available up to 16' long at no extra cost.

They claimed that they could be safely bent to 90 degrees, but I was always puzzled as to how a 12' stick could be bent the same amount as the same stick 16' long.

I had a friend who used to break a lot of the red poles in the early days of fiberglass vaulting.
