weather temp a factor in pole bend ?

weather temp a factor in pole bend ?

rumor has it that if its colder the pole will be stiffer and if its warmer it will be softer. is this true?

It makes a very insignificant difference. The much bigger difference is that when the vaulter is cold they will tend to run slower, making the pole feel stiffer, and when they are warm they will run faster...
