I jumped in that meet and got 5th. it sucked. the lake analogy is spot on. As soon as you'd land, you'd be engulfed by water. They told us they'd only delay if there was lightning. i think there were about 16 of us huddled under the little tent they had in the infield with our poles and all our stuff....
