Last Chance Meets

Unread postby rainbowgirl28 » Mon May 03, 2004 11:52 am

Our (Lindenwood's) last chance meet on the 14th has been cancelled due to graduation :(

Lane has put me in charge of researching last chance meets. We are looking for meets on the weekend of the 15th that is relatively close by to the St. Louis area and has a good pole vault setup. We might split up if necessary, so let me know about meets with stuff like Steeple, 10k, and racewalk.

It can be a Friday or Saturday meet.

Thanks!

Hmmm so far all I can find is a Last Chance meet at Missouri Southern on Thursday the 13th and a Decathlon/Heptathlon at Missouri on Thursday and Friday.

All of the schools west of us seem to be going to Emporia or Kansas State. All of the schools east of us seem to be going to North Central, IL. Everyone else has their conference meets.

But yeah, if anyone knows about any more meets let me know!

the north central college meet in naperville illinois is the "Dr. Keeler INvitational". it should be a good meet for the vault on both the men's and women's sides. we are holding the vault on thrusday for some reason with the women starting at 330 with an opening height of 9'(i doubt we will start at 9' even, but probably at some metric height around 9 that will give a good progression in terms of qualifying heights)

We are definitely having a mini meet on Thursday the 13th. There will be men and women's pole vault for sure. I'll post the running events later today, as well as info on how to register.

I'd love to have some more girl vaulters besides me and Jayne!
